Garrard “Garry” Schaefer has been the Managing Partner and Chief Compliance Officer of Peachtree since founding of the firm in December 2006. Prior to that, Garry was Vice President at Wealth Strategy Group, The Northern Trust Company, Inc. from 2004 to 2006. He was Managing Director at Legg Mason the year prior. Garry was Executive Director of CIBC World Markets from 2002 until 2003 and Senior Vice President of Prudential Securities from 1986 until 2001.

Garry earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Denver. He was a longtime trustee at Tabor Academy in Marion, MA. He is a Life Trustee for Pace Academy in Atlanta and Co-Chair of its Planned Giving Committee. Garry is the father of three daughters and has six grandchildren. He enjoys running, tennis and paddle tennis.

Courtney Schaefer Deveau joined Peachtree in July 2023 as Director of Business Development. Previously, Courtney was Alumni Director of Pace Academy in Atlanta (2021-2023). She began her career at the Virginia Club of New York (2011-2013). She later served in various roles with The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York (2013–2021), ending her tenure as Associate Director, Membership & Affiliate Programs.

Courtney earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. She serves on the Arts Council at UVA and on the board of the Trinity Early Learning Center in Atlanta. She has two sons and enjoys modern and contemporary art and playing tennis.
